In recent year, seeing a very minimal quantity of production, Concreate Works felt that to complete each of its projects requires considerable time. This might occur because the operational management of Concreate Works does not handle and control the production process optimally and there may also some errors in the production flow. Therefore, the authors conducted a research related to the problems faced by Concreate Works using the Six Sigma concept with DMAIC methodology, namely Define, Measures, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Research begins with defining the production process, identifying opportunities for improvement and determining the scope of the research. Then measure the production process through data in the form of graphs and tables. Then analyze the problem related to the Six Ms, namely Man, Method, Material, Machine, Money, and Mother Nature using Root Cause Analysis and conduct an interviews with the team of Concreate Works. From the results of the root cause analysis it was found that the problem are in Method, Machine, and Material factors. Then the author brainstormed an innovation related to the results of the analysis to optimize the production process. The phase of improvement resulted that Concreate Works can solve the problem by rearranging the sequence of activities in the production process which can be a long-term solution for the company. The next step is doing a control phase on the implementation of the strategy that has been done. text |
