This company is produce polyester fabric and greige woven. Lately for 3 years, the reject in production is increase while the sales is decrease. Based on the data there is 2 reject that always show stain and crease. Stain is from the machine oil or the operator hand doesn’t clean enough. The machine oil can be spilled if plan maintenance not effective enough. Crease can be cause from the preparation when the operator sew the edge of greige. When it come to next process, the sew will off, and make crease. So the preparation must be carefull. From the data first author do, is find root cause using Current Reality Tree , find the crucial process in production using VMS, calculation of sigma (to control Reject) analyze with DPMO and choose scenario with AHP expert choice and also cost benefit analysis. The crucial process is in preparation that will determine the product will get reject or repro. After that the author interview and make observe with management to see what solution. From root cause author find that reject causing by, inadaquate of analysis reject/reprocess from RnD departmen, ineffective plan maintenance, and inefficient of warehouse management, which leads to inadaquate of production and process planning. The VMS (Value Mapping System) shows that the preparation is the bottleneck as crucial process. The calculation Sigma show that the company Rejects in 3 – sigma. Conclution of the thesis for decrease the Reject, company choose to buy machine and use PDCA review to monitoring Rejects. The AHP expert choice generate the different result, it is to buy new machine. The PDCA review it self used for continous improvement. PDCA means Planning, Do, Control, Action. In PDCA need review periodically to make production more effective and efficient. New machine means increase capacity of production. text
