Summary: | This study examines the regional threshold of hydrometeorological conditions for landslides on the island of Java using calculations from rainfall parameters and soil moisture. Furthermore, the threshold that has been obtained will be validated using historiscal data from landslides in Java.
The work of this research starts by selecting the history of landslide events data, then reconstructing the rainfall events to get the accumulation and duration of rainfall. Furthermore, it is also seen how the contribution of rain events to soil moisture conditions. After that, the threshold is determined by plotting E-D curve in two scenarios. Scenario 1 is determining the threshold using only rainfall parameters, and Scenario 2 is determining the threshold using rainfall and soil moisture parameters. Finally, threshold equations are validated to obtain performance of the thresholds and to see if soil moisture parameters affect the performance of the thresholds.
In this study, has been obtained 16 threshold equations for rainfall and soil moisture. From the results of the analysis, it was found that soil moisture parameters have a significant role in increasing the accuracy of the empirical landslide threshold. The greater the duration coefficient value (?), the greater the value of accumulated rainfall and soil moisture for landslide events to occur, and vice versa. Validation results of landslides in 2015-2017 found that there were 13 rainfall thresholds and soil moisture which had a hit rate> = 0.5, from a total of 16 thresholds obtained in this study.
