Summary: | Indonesia is located in an area that has active plate movements which cause tsunami disaster in coastal and marine areas. One of the areas that has potential to affected by a tsunami is the tourism area in Pangandaran Regency, West Java. It causes negative impacts, such as property damage and casualty rates. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of building vulnerability and the losses impact caused by tsunami disaster. The research method is carried out by combining building data classified based on the type and building uses along with the inundation data caused by tsunami disaster and coefficient of Damage Ratio. The results show that the type of building in the tourism area of Pangandaran Regency is dominated by 1-story permanent buildings (P1) of 2050 out of 3103 identified buildings which are generally used as residences and businesses. In general level of vulnerability of buildings based on the coefficient of Damage Ratio in the tourism area of Pangandaran Regency is in 51%-70% (quite high), this indicates that the building will heavy damage by a tsunami. There are 8 hotel/resort buildings that are recommended as temporary evacuation sites (shelter) in the event of a tsunami with losses reaching 700 million rupiah for the tourism activities and 6.055 billion rupiah for the fishery activities in 2016. |
