In this research. methods for characterization and quantification of oxo-PP microplastic is performed. Characterizations of oxo-PP '"ere performed using DTA and FTIR and pea" of thermogram was aqcuired within 130-168 °C 'v\hile peak of absorbance spectra was aqcuired around 2960 cm•1 which comes from -CH "ibration. According to the result. treatments li"e contact ""ith 'v'vater. mixing. heating and grinding didn"t gi've an) significant change neither to the thermogram profile nor the absorbance spectra '"hich leads to a conclusion that the usage of fresh plastic"' ithout further treatments as reference for measuring samples from em ironment is posible. Variation of data manipulations gives a good linearity using multipoint baseline '"ith 8-10 consistent area. As a quantification step. three internal standards containing -CN (acetonitrile. acrilonitrile. and KSCN) with wave number around 2000-2500 cm•1 Y'vere tested. It was aqcuired that KSCN gave the smallest RSD (5.19%). Variation of scans ga've an aceptable amount of RSD from 16 scan (2.43%). Variation of pellet's mass gaye rational absorbance value b) ±65 mg using the composition of oxo-PP:KSCN:KBr = I: I :20. Calibration curYe made using the optimal parameters ga\e a good correlation constant (R=0.9607) and measuring oxo-PP in dumm) sample ga\e an error \aluc of 12.32°•o.
