Description
Summary:In order to improve product quality is calibrate the measuring instruments which is used in the production process. At present, there are researches related to calibration that utilize information technology with client-server architecture. Previous research shows that the calibration of digital multimeter has used information technology solutions but registration calibration digital multimeter is using a centralized system. There is a shortage of this centralized system, that is, especially in calibration data potentially can be changed unilaterally to avoid findings during the audit by the calibration auditor. In this study, choosing an alternative technology solution to overcome the problems found, is using a distributed system with blockchain technology. In this study, the stages of designing a digital multimeter calibration recording system are explained starting from architectural design. The purpose of this research is to produce a system design and prototype that has been tested and to evaluate changes in business processes and comparisons with a centralized system. Based on the results of testing and evaluation, the system successfully fulfills 100% of the test-case and produces an evaluation of business process improvements. The blockchain has immutability characteristics so that the calibration data cannot be changed. The system of recording calibration based on the efficiency of process time in the business of the calibration data management process is 33,85% or an average of 1718 minutes per 10 (ten) orders. The simulation results show that improving the business process of recording digital multimeter calibration can reduce business process time so that it can improve the efficiency of activity time.
