Basically, in carrying out exploration and exploitation activities, a plan is needed to regulate everything needed in conducting the survey. Planning is the initial stage that starts in the initial stages that will be carried out at certain times that can be done with the plan. A plan is needed because it will clarify the actions and actions that can be done so that they can be minimized This research is intended to provide guidance regarding the planning of hydrographic surveys for the purposes of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. The method used in this study is a literature study and qualitative analysis by collecting literature studies and studies on aspects related to hydrographic survey activities for the purposes of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. The data used consisted of literature in Manual on Hydrography, technical spesification of hydrography survey and project documents and specifications for hydrographic survey work. The results of the literature study and qualitative analysis are needed as a basis for a technical and non-technical guidelines for hydrographic planning for the purposes of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. In making this planning guidelines, further studies are needed and more data information can be detailed so that it can be used as consideration in starting survey activities.
