BATIK CLOTHING FOR MODERN MEN WITH CAMOUFLAGE THEME PRESENTED IN THE FORM OF MEN CLOTHING

Batik products have been dominated with plants or animals in their motives. In current development, actually, there are other motives that may be applied, such as military motives. Batik with military motives is rarely explored, only few are found with such motives in batik central productions or in batik stores. Military Batik is potentially fond by communities who like military, for example Cosplaysofter Indonesia (CSI). This research is developed to present batik clothing for men, which is potential to be liked by military-related communities, in urban area. The theme selected to be applied is military camouflage. The technique to be used is written batik. The end product of this research is a long sleeve men shirt with hoodie, hat, pant, and vest with a military camouflage theme. The modern touch are on the use of Velcro paste to secure the pocket and the use of hammock string for the comfort of the users. The Process of creating this batik product has its own challenges. The purpose of making the creation is to repromote people interest in batik so the batik culture will stay exist.
