| Summary: | This report is a complement to the architectural design final project with the title “The City Home: Luxury Apartment at Dukuh Atas, Jakarta” which contains analysis, issue, programming, and design concept of the project. This project is to design a luxury apartment building consist of residential unit as main and commercial area as supporting facilities. The residential units will be filled with upscale apartment and the commercial typology will be filled with restaurant and café at a small scale. The main issue on this design project is unit composition, pedestrian circulation, zoning on the site and facility programming in the building. The project location is at Jalan Sudirman near Dukuh Atas, Jakarta owned by BUMN (state owned enterprise) that is underutilized. By developing the underutilized land, the BUMN Corporation will attract investor and maximized the company value on the stock market. In addition, the site is also within the range of TOD MRT Dukuh Atas and TOD MRT Setiabudi and other public transportation mean the area will be crowded with people and vehicles. The circulation inside the site and its integration with the site must be highly considered to respond the issue occurs. Greenery must be considered to respond the hot and moist climate of Jakarta. From the issues occur, the designer proposed the concept “The City Home” to solve the problems. The City Home here means to create the living place that provides a variety of facilities, convenience for its resident and the greater good for the city and its people. |
