Summary:The use of electrical energy is increasingly rising, cause fossil energy sources and gas are running low. The use of fossil energy produce high-polluting and damaging the environment, that is global warming. For that need be developed new sources of electrical energy and environmentally friendly. One of the renewable energy is wind energy. Wind energy is a relatively clean energy and environmentally friendly because it does not produce carbon dioxide (CO2) or other gases that cause global warming. To convert wind energy into electrical energy needs of a device called a wind turbine. One type of wind turbine used is the horizontal axis wind turbines. Research on Final project including design, manufacture and testing of wind turbine rotor. Wind turbine rotor designed three pieces of 2.4 meters in diameter with a NACA 2412 profile. More concerned with aspects of the design is able to made, so that aspect of the stiffness and strength is very little. Blades is made of albasia wood and blade shaft of aluminum rods. The process of testing done to get the wind turbine power characteristics of wind speed. The wind turbine have a starting wind speed 4.1 m/s and a cut-in wind speed 4.8 m/s. The wind turbine produces 125 Watts of electrical power at wind speed 11.2 m/s.
