Based on litterature, the turbine has been designed with the 3 blade, 6 cm chord lenght of NACA0018 airfoil. The rotor has dimentions of 37 cm diameter and 20 cm height. For performance optimation, the inlet nozzle, draft tube, and streamlined supporting arm were installed. The Inlet nozzle has dimentions of 28 cm height and 22 cm width. The draft tube has approximately 9.5 degree of inclination angle(?d) and Sd/S = 2.25. The test conducted in three different water velocity, they were 0.8 m/s, 0.9 m/s, and 1.0 m/s. Testing process with 0.8 m/s water velocity resulted maximmum power of 4.483 Watt and Power coefficient (Cp) of 23.67 %. The results for two other different velocity are 7.970 Watt maximmum power with Cp sebesar 29.50 % for 0.9 m/s water velocity and 9.348 Watt maximmum power with Cp sebesar 25.27 % for 1.0 m/s water velocity. This results than compared with litterature. From the litteratur, it was shown that the turbine has a lot more Cp than from the test result. The cause of this lack of Cp was, from the beginning, the turbine test installment was designed for some amount of static head. But in the test process, static head was not present. It was flow disturbance from axial turbine installment and narrow discharge of the duct that caused this phenomenon. This flow disturbance disturbed the flow of inlet nozzle resulting inconstant flow that would violance turbine performance. text
