Description
Summary:Blora was ranked second in the production of teak according to the Forest Concession Unit in Central Java. The high demand for teak from high consumers leaves abundant teak bark with low selling value. So far the utilization of teak wood material is limited to fencing or firewood. Based on the experimental results, teak bark has a fairly high density level, permanent change in shape with the softening process, and possesses high temperature resistance properties. So that through exploration and the role of designers, it has the potential to increase the value of teak bark material through alternative products with high temperature resistance properties. In addition, teak bark also has high levels of tektokuinon which is beneficial for health, especially in digestion and keeps blood sugar levels more stable. Through these physical and mechanical properties, it becomes the background in the use of materials as kitchenware such as steamer and other products that have high temperature resistance properties.
