Summary:The growth of South Tangerang City was followed by increasing demand for housing. Many new apartment projects have been initiated by private developers. Moreover, there are still few high-end/upper class apartments in the city so that opportunities for development of such apartments which can compete with the market in Jakarta open up. On a land of 1,4 Ha, an upper class apartments project will be developed in the center of urban activities in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Phase 1 area. The contexts emphasized on this project are the characteristics and behavior of prospective residents who are the upper class community. From the results of the functions and users study, the issue of elements of unusuality and luxurious lifestyle issue were obtained. From the site analysis, the issue of visual access of buildings around the site was obtained. These issues are the elaborated with the values that the initiator of the project has thus brings to the concept of “Urban Paradise”. This project is expected to be an ideal residences, offering a luxurious lifestyle, and being close to nature. The design process resulted in the design of apartment buildings consisting of two 30-storey towers with a podium mass of 2 floors below. At the ground floor and podium level, supporting activities are accommodated through public and commercial facilities. Living activities as primary activities in residential units are located on the 3rd floor and above. The concept of Urban Paradise in design results can be found in the design of each unit with premium quality, communal open space at top level, and the image of an exclusive building.
