The richness features of its fashion identity, coming from the combination of the local ethnic and the recent trends, has deeply been favoured by many locals as well as the global fashion enthusiasts. To supply the market’s high demand for the local fashion, a facility to introduce the recent local trends is indeed needed. Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC), an organization for the fashion designers and entrepreneurs is holding on to this opportunity to propose a local fashion gallery, taking place in the country’s most well-known destination, Bali as the Island of Gods. This project is located within the heart of Seminyak Shopping Street. This project is designed to accommodate the promotion of the surroundings local boutiques and fashion brands. This particular fashion gallery will act as a thematic gallery as well as an venue for seasonal fashion show. Not just a typical gallery, this project is also adapting the lifestyle in Seminyak, such as bar, local restaurants, boutiques, salon and spa, as well as a fashion creative hub. This project is designed by considering the streetscape characteristic of Seminyak area. The building massing is divided into multiple masses and orientated on a courtyard. Wastra Dewata, as this project is called, specifically using the Balinese local fabric as the main gallery icon. The iconic Balinese fabric is applied into certain membrane designs for the façade and stage canopy courtyard. text |
