Summary:Nowadays, transportation is main part of human life. The rate number of transportation is increasing in a great a number. Passenger safety is one of important key in transportation. Because, there are a high signicant rate number of transportation fatality that can cause die and injury. Crash is an example that often happen in transportation such as in air, land and sea transportation. Crash box is a part of vehicle compartment that designed as absorber of impact-energy. Crash box is thin walled structure that have good ability in absorbing energy with small walls. Performance of crash box depends on its geometry and material. Rectangular, circular, multi cell, and multi corner are example of crash box geometry. Metal and composite are a part of material that used in crash box. Another thing that aected crash box performance is manufacturing methods. It caused distribution of thickness and distribution of residual stress. Extrusion is a method of uniformly dis- tributed cross-section. This Undergraduate explain numerical analysis about crashworthiness parameters of multi-cell cross-section crash box under axial loading manufactured by extrusion method. Crash box divided into 5 models of multi-cell cross-section that will be analysed by extrusion-manufacturing- eect and non-manufacturing-eect using numerical approach. Next, there will be compared between two models. The result of this thesis is show there are eect between extrusion-model-based-crash-box and non-manufactured- based-crash-box. Manufactured-crash box has greater performance than non- manufactured.
