Characteristics of forest ecosystems that influence human health responses have not been widely studied. This study aims to identify the characteristics of forest ecosystems that influence HS, determine the effect of forest ecosystems on health conditions, and develop strategies for developing forest areas to optimize the benefits of HS. This research was conducted in the forest ecosystem of Wana Wisata Situ Cibeureum Kesatuan Pemangku Hutan (KPH) Perum Perhutani Garut. This study consisted of three stages, namely: (a) identification of the characteristics of forest ecosystems related to HS; (b) measuring the respondent's health response in the forest ecosystem; and (c) develop plans for developing ecosystem services of healing forest (HF) at the research sites. Characteristics of forest ecosystems related to HS studied are air temperature, air humidity, light intensity, land slope, noise, and vegetation. The respondent's health response was measured by the pre-experimental design method of one group pretest-post test design on conditions of blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, blood glucose levels, depression levels, anxiety levels, and stress levels. The results showed that forest ecosystems affected several respondents' health parameters, namely the condition of blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, blood glucose levels, and anxiety levels. In the development of HF, it is necessary to pay attention to three criteria, namely the characteristics of forest ecosystems, forest bathing criteria, and healing garden criteria. text
