This project uses bamboo as its main material to answer the need problem of affordable, good quality, and environmentally friendly fisherman's houses and public facilities. Thus, this project is expected to be a reference for improving the quality of houses and the settlements. In this case, approximately 5 hectares of land in the residential fishermen of Tegur Village, Indramayu District, West Java became the area that was assumed to be ready and selected as a development site. Therefore, the design approach used in this project is the bamboo material and construction approach, as well as the general behavior of traditional fishermen in their daily activities (household, economic, and socio-cultural). In addition, the site analysis is also done to sharpen the design. From the series of studies, it was decided to use bamboo species according to SNI. The bamboo connection that used is a mixture between traditional connection with a nut-bolt connection. Furthermore, the general concept that is brought is the affordability of environmentally friendly construction, so it was initiated the concept of the growing house, with two types of houses, six meters’ material module, flat-shaped, and maximize the use of bamboo. Likewise, the public facilities buildings are also designed affordable and environmentally friendly. The whole is planned by clustering that supports community, territoriality, and production activities (drying fish). text
