The city is located in the middle of Bandung Regency and West Bandung Regency. Cimahi was formerly part of Bandung Regency, which was later designated as an administrative City on January 29, 1976. On June 21, 2001, Cimahi as an autonomous City. The city of Cimahi consists of 3 sub-districts which are further divided into 15 sub-districts, namely North Cimahi Sub-district consisting of 4 Sub-Districts, Central Cimahi District consisting of 6 Sub-Districts and South Cimahi Districts consisting of 5 Sub-Districts. The total population of the design service area is 6317 people. Waste management was carried out at TPS 3R Melong, but it had not gone well. Therefore it is necessary to do waste management planning at the TPS 3R. Sampling and composition of waste have been carried out which refers to SNI 19-3964-1995 with the yield of 1344.35 Kg / day and composition of organic waste 44%, inorganic selling 32% and inorganic not selling along with residual waste of 24%. The total area of the 3R TPS area is 1120 m2 with the planning of the loading and unloading area construction of 73.71 m2 and inorganic storage warehouses selling at 13.04 m2, while the composting and maturation area is 72.20 m2, but specifically the composting and maturation still uses existing old buildings with the composting and maturation area of 96 m2. Other area land needs for parking areas and guard posts using the remaining available land. text
