The rapid development of Jakarta was reduce green open space and the catchment area. As a result of the water catchment area and supported by the geological conditions of the city of Jakarta which is a flood plain, it causes endless flooding. The Rawa Kendal lake area in Cilincing sub-district is one of the regions programmed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to become a blue open space, and open spaces for green cities using inundation as well as catchment areas. The Rawa Kendal lake area is 1-2 meters above sea level. According to the North Jakarta City RDTR 2010-2030 this area will be chosen by settlements in the form of flats and simple houses. So, in planning the Lake Rawa Kendal area is divided into 2 zones, namely the lake zone and the urban forest zone. The two zones are divided back into 9 sub zones. This subzona is a green and public open space provided by facilities that can be utilized by the people of Jakarta. The Lake Rawa Kendal Expansion Area in Clincing North Jakarta, which is integrated with the city's green open space as an air catchment area, is expected to contribute to supporting the flood of settlement construction. In addition, green open spaces designated as urban forests and city parks are expected to enrich local ecosystems, improve the quality of the environment in the city of Jakarta and increase public open space that accommodates community activities by improving environmental, economic and socio-cultural aspects
