Summary:Lower structure of the apartment that is going to be designed consists of diaphragm wall, and bored pile foundation. The apartment consists of 25 stories of upper structure and 3 stories of basement, that transferred a great amount of lateral force to the diaphragm wall and foundation system, which will be designed properly according to the codes. Diaphragm wall with 800 mm thickness is designed with 2 rows of 21 m ground anchor per 1,5 m with 45° angle as lateral support during the construction of 3 stories basement. 800 kN prestress force is needed to fulfill the deflection requirement. After the basements is constructed, all ground anchors will be loosened and let go, so slabs and beams of the 3 basements will act as the replacement of the ground anchor. There are 5 types of bored pile foundation that is designed, which length varies from 10 – 40 m with 600 mm or 1200 mm diameter. Dimension of the foundation depends on working loads from the upper structure.
