INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/39481 Music has become a part of human life. However, the means to further explore music are still few and require quite expensive costs. Therefore, we need a facility that can be used by the majority of the community without limited place and time. To overcome this, a solution is needed to create software that runs on mobile devices. The software must have an interaction design that can effectively help users need to understand music notations. The design of the solution made must be balanced regarding the text, image, and sound that is taught. To build interaction design in this final project, the Activity Centered Design (ACD) approach is chosen which focuses on activities that can be done by a technology product. In this final project, the ACD method was chosen because the learning process for each user must go through the same stage. To help users master the readings and sounds of the notations, the sound learning material from musical notes is made no skip so that users can clearly distinguish the sound from consecutive musical notes first. In addition, gamification methods are also used to increase user motivation. The results of this final project are in the form of high fidelity prototypes made using Proto.io tools that can be used for sound features in the interaction design development. This prototype was tested twice iterations with improvements in each iteration according to the feedback from the respondents. From the test results, it was found that the results of the final assignment had achieved effective and easy to learn usability goals and helpful, enjoyable and motivating user experience goals. text |
