Summary:VidyaNusa is an e-learning framework about digital media and game based learning system, which is going to be integrated and improved so the system will be more interactive, collaborative and fun from the student’s side and also comprehensive from the teacher’s side. One of the tools that supports the VidyaNusa’s system is a Learning Management System, or we can call it LMS. Now we are currently improving the LMS in VidyaNusa. One of the features that ongoing improvement is the Essay Questions. This feature can read and help the teachers in marking the scores. Because this feature is new, then we want to give an expansion of the system where the system will support the teacher as the user. Therefore the teachers can see the improvement or deprovement from the Students and the teachers can give the proper treatment to them. The phases of the system design planning will be referring to the Bandung Institute of Technology’s product improvement document that is document B100-B500. The timeline used is the timeline that already discussed with the VidyaNusa thesis team. The timeline goes from July 2018 to September 2018. Testing of the system is using Telkom Junior High School data, with 40 students from 2 classes with 20 students per class as the sample. These 40 students will undergo 4 phases of testing, which is Pretest, Test 1, Test 2, and Post-test. The subjects will be Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Biology. From the designing and testing that has been done, then can be concluded that 89% of the user specification and system are already fulfilled, that is from 28 user specification, 25 are fulfilled. The system can work well, recording the marks, shows histograms and charts, and gives summary from the student’s marks even though there are some features that are not perfect such as the navigation is still not comfortable enough, shows the subjects, shows more detailed information such as date and time, etc.
