Material Monel K-500 is a nickel alloy with good corrosion resistance and has mechanical properties that can be improved through the process of strengthening precipitation. To determine the behavior of Monel K-500 at high temperatures and salt environments, a corrosion study of Monel K-500 at temperatures of 450oC, 550oC, and 650oC was carried out with salt (40% K2SO4 + 60% NaCl) with a time variation of 12, 24 and 36 hour. The most severe corrosion occurred at the testing temperature of 650oC with the greatest change in mass was 8.13 x 10-7 gram/mm2, the oxide layer was spalling, the oxide layer thickness was 850.28?m, the corrosion attack depth was 41.227?m and the hardness of the specimen decreased by 54.9% . The corrosion mechanism that occurs in all specimens is intergranular corrosion and the oxide compound formed is Nickel Oxide (NiO). The Monel K-500 still has good corrosion resistance at temperatures of 450oC and 550oC with an exposure time of no more than 24 hours text
