Summary:Indonesia is an archipelago located at the confluence of four tectonic plates, and Indonesia located through the Ring of Fire which makes Indonesia very potential and prone to disasters such as tsunami.In Indonesia, the main reason why disasters such as the Tsunami have taken a lot of casualties is the lack of preparation from the community and those on duty related to natural disasters in Indonesia and in certain areas. not just buildings or shelters. Emergency facilities are needed that are close to disaster-prone / casualty locations. With literature research methods, and field surveys and developing a theoretical foundation that is tailored to the situation, conditions and needs of consumers. The analysis includes the use of material considered on the basis of the ability to deal with pressure, the overall ergonomics of the instrument, the design of the shape with a benchmark capable of surviving when the tsunami and anaslis the overall economic level of the product. The conclusion is that this study produced a product in the form of a Safety Pod that can be used 1-6 people to become a means of temporary protection in the event of a tsunami disaster.
