Description
Summary:The deterioration of the transformers aging condition is proportional to the increase in load and ambient temperature conditions, where the increase in load will directly increase the temperature and reduce the quality of insulation. In the future, with the increasing tendency of people to switch from fossil energy to electrical energy, the transformers will experience a load increase so that the transformers will experience greater stress and affect lifetime transformers. This paper studies the impact caused a significant number of electric vehicles charging in two typical loads, namely industrial area and residential area in Jakarta, Indonesia. Solar PV will then be incorporated into the system to compensate the increase in load which will directly improve the deteriorating condition. The stochastic approach was used in this study to determine the parameters in the simulation, and finally, the aging calculation was carried out using two methods namely IEEE thermal model and DP method as a comparison. This paper will give an illustration of how much aging increases caused by the increase in load due to the penetration of electric vehicles and how much influence the incorporation of PV to improve aging transformers.
