With such a high population and might increase every year, it can be estimated that the septage generation in Bekasi will be equivalent to its high population. Until 2019, Bekasi has only 23 active settlement scale wastewater treatment plants (SPALD-T). It only serves 8.7% of the total population and does not have a municipal scale domestic wastewater treatment installation. 91.3% of the population is still served by a local wastewater management system (SPALD-S) in a tangki septik. Therefore only 13% sludge production can be served in Sumur Batu Septage Treatment Plant (STP) which is currently accepting only 120 m3/day. In addition, the Efluent in existing Sumur Batu STP has not met the quality standards set by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number P.68/Menlhk/Setjen/Kum/I/8/2016. Therefore, the additional capacity of STP is really necessary. It is also referred to a program in Bekasi city wastewater masterplan, that is constructing additional STP in Sumur Batu and Harapan Baru. Sumur Batu STP is allocated to serve the southern part of Bekasi City. The construction is divided into two stages. Stage one is planned to serve 250 m3/day sludge generations and 125 m3/day for stage two. The type of supernatant process after solid-fluid-separation is a biological process. The determination of sludge and supernatant process is based on consideration of efficiency, technical, budgetary, operational and environmental effect. Based on the analysis, screw filter press and CMAS have the highest weighting value among the other alternatives proposed. Processing is equipped with a drying area unit, composting, and disinfection unit. The construction of the Sumur Batu IPLT requires a fee of Rp35.119.000.000 text |
