INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/39547 The research area is located in Parungponteng District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java. Geographically, the research area is located at UTM coordinates of 179,952 – 189,952 mE and 9,165,730 – 9,171,730 mN (Zone 49 S) with an area of 60 km2. The research area can be divided into four geomorphological units, i.e. Cibungur Complex Hills, Kolot Homocline Hills, Singajaya Volcanic Hills, and Ciwulan Alluvial Plain Units. The research area is classified as young geomorphic stage with local old geomorphic stage in Ciwulan River. Stratigraphically, the research area can be divided into four non-formal rock units forming during Middle Miocene to Recent. The sequences, from old to young are limestone unit deposited during Middle Miocene in upper bathial, sandstone unit deposited during Late Miocene in inner neritic, andesite lava unit formed during Early Pleistocene and the youngest strata deposited alluvial during Recent. Geological structures in the research area are Cilonggan Left Normal Fault (NW-SE), Citalahab Thrust Right Fault (N-S), Cigunung Normal Fault (NE-SW), Cikandawe Right Fault (NW-SE), and north-south trending in the form of Pasirmanggu Anticline, Datarbungur Syncline, Pasirjaya Syncline. Geothermal springs in the research area have temperature of 410 C and pH 6.1, these manifestations come (discharge) from the reservoir with temperature of 1600 C, this manifestations are indentified as outflow from the reservoir associated with Cikuray volkanic along Cigunung Normal Fault. text |
