Soil layer of existing condition consists of soft to stiff clay. Clay soil usually has low bearing capacity and relatively long downtime priority. Therefore we need a method to increase the bearing capacity of the soil and speed up the time of consolidation. The result of the analysis show that the most appropriate method is Prefabricated Vertical Drain and Preloading.
Time of consolidation of soil without PVD could take 4 to 51 years. While using PVD could accelerated the time of consolidation to 40 days. Preloading is done for soil reinforcement to the load that will be needed on the soil will be greater and increase the bearing capacity of the soil.
On the landside side, file foundation design is carried out. The design is done by manual calculation and some sofwares such as LPILE and GROUP.
