Krakatau Volcano was the one of the best Indonesia’s natural creature which has phenomenal and memorable eruption and affects its surrounding, especially Banten Province. To collect a knowledge from that historical natural disaster, Banten Province Government executed museum project that can optimize preservation and volcanology education and Krakatau Volcano’s history. There will be also recreation function to let museum visitor understanding content easier and contributing for Anyer Region’s tourism improvement. Before the writer went through the design, the writer studied the related literature and example, and then used it to conclude the main issue from the fact of function, site and environment. Reviving the Memory of Krakatau’s Eruption, the main concept of the museum is choosed to answer the main issues of this project. The main concept means to bring back the feeling of the awesomeness and condolences of volcano’s eruption phenomena in a past. The museum tells a story interactively and easily learnt with multisensory, from the architectural side or a content. The masses image of the museum is applying with metaphore affordance of the shape of Krakatau Volcano and the whole concept for the building responding site is “Museum in a park”, which means standing together in harmony as a part of a park.
