Waste generation from the activity is 53,335 m3/day or 2.5 liter/person/day. The planning area for TPS 3R is 1000 m2. Based on Permen PUPR 10/2017, TPS which has area of 1000 m2 is capable to serve 200 family with the waste capacity up to 30 m3/day. The purpose of redesign of TPS 3R in Kedurus is to optimize TPS performance. In planning, the service area is reduced to 13,107 people and the waste generation is projected to 32.4 m3/day. Planning of waste handling system in TPS Kedurus is consisted of waste loading, waste sorting, organic waste treatment, inorganic waste treatment, residue treatment, and other facility. Waste sorting is done manually by conveyor belt. Inorganic waste is handled based on its properties. Plastic waste will be shredded, and paper waste will be pressed. On the other hand, glass and metal will be placed in storage area before sale. Organic waste will be treated by open windrow composting. Residue is placed on a container and it will be transported to landfill. Other facilities such as office, worker room, prayer room, toilet, drainage, and parking lot to support the operation of TPS 3R. The operating period of TPS 3 will be held from 2021 until 2030. With this system, waste generation is projected to 11 m3/day by 2030. There is reduction of the waste generation so the volume which is transported to landfill will be decreased. text
