Summary:Regarding the debate that was studied was how to increase children's interest in Indonesia's cultural heritage regarding West Javanese batik motifs and how is the design of story books illustrated by West Java Batik motifs? West Java Batik is divided into 2 central namely Coastal Pesisir and Priangan Batik. Batik Pesisir consists of Cirebon Batik and Indramayu Batik, while Priangan Batik consists of Batik Tasikkan, Batik Garut and Batik Ciamis. West Java Batik or often referred to as Sundanese Batik has different characteristics from Batik from other regions. When compared to Java, it can be seen from the use of color and not visual. Sundanese Batik uses brighter colors and is more varied than Javanese Batik. The colors that are widely used in West Javanese batik are more natural and bright colors. There is no visual on the Sunda Batik more about the flora and fauna of the forest and there are some not palace. To introduce West Java Batik to children, the design used in the form of children's story books. In addition, this story book needs short information about the decorative motifs of West Java batik to help parent in guiding and explaining what children are in the storybook. The design carried out with printed media is expected to be effective and increase the children's insight into batik images with the aim of children of primary school age 7-12 years.
