Description
Summary:The monitoring results of Jakarta Environmental Agency in 2018, found that Situ Babakan was indicated to be polluted by domestic wastewater. Therefore, domestic wastewater treatment is needed to improve water quality. This study developed a method of integration between fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) and multidimensional scaling (MDS) in the process of selecting the optimal, effective and efficient technology to be applied at Situ Babakan. The FAHP method integrated with MDS starts with the preparation of a hierarchical framework established by AHP. In this integrated method, it combines the weights calculated by the fuzzy into the AHP, and allows decision makers to understand the relative importance of each sub-criteria or criterion. Furthermore, MDS analysis to determine the optimal alternative through the coordinates associated with each alternative in a two-dimensional configuration and this analysis is evaluated with R programming. The results of the FAHP integration method analysis with MDS from 6 alternative technologies that alternative extended aeration, are the optimal alternatives. Determination of the optimal alternative depends on the weight of the criterion and sub-criteria, therefore the weighting process during decision making is important. Furthermore, to test the validity and reliability, the stress values of each perception map are used. The stress value obtained was 0.0095 (stress < 0.025), indicating a very good criteria of goodness of fit. Based on the value of stress, it can be concluded that the results of the FAHP integration method analysis with MDS have the right reliability and validity in choosing an alternative of wastewater treatment technology to be applied at Situ Babakan and the plots in the configuration drawings can be relied upon for alternative domestic wastewater treatment in the Situ Babakan area.
