Summary: | This museum will have the main function of exhibiting the art collections of Haryanto
Adikoesoemo, a collector of fine arts. The museum will be located at Jalan Taman Sari No. 47, Lebak
Siliwangi, Coblong, Bandung, West Java. The museum will have a size of 3000 m2, and the owner will
be Haryanto Adikoesoemo himself. The target visitors will be from various segmented groups such as
students, artists, students, art enthusiast and so forth. In the design process, shape was always an
approach in terms of building as a whole, and the space that is form within. The site concept of this
building is to bring enough space to be enclosed, quiet, and away from the hustle and bustle of the
city center, even though the site is located in the center of the city. This concept developed aiming
that people can enjoy the art better in quiet environment, and just to relax-unwinding from the daily
routine. The concept of this building itself that presents an 'implied attraction' for visitors, in the
sense that the building must be attractive but still complement the works of art that are exhibited
therein, as the main vocal point. On this site, there will be museums, cafes, outdoor spaces, and
additional buildings to be designed, and rental office that is not in the scope of design. There are two
masses of the building, consist of one big mass of offices and museums, and one small mass for
additional building functions. The museum building will consists of 3 floors and one basement floor,
and the additional buildings consist of two floors. |
