One of the things that causes the processing of organic waste is not a big concern is the low value of the products produced by the processing process. The approach that was introduced was the upcycling concept of organic waste using the bioconversion process by biological agents into high-value products. One of the bioconversion agents that are now actively used is Black Soldier Fly larvae (Hermetia illucens) which are capable of converting waste into body biomass which has the potential as animal feed and also has the potential to reduce the production of organic waste. One of the challenges faced in managing organic waste is the condition of generally non-homogeneous waste. This study analyzed the impact of fiber:protein:lipid diet combination on growth and nutrient composition of Hermetia illucens larvae. This study used 7-day old H. illucens larvae fed with a combination of organic waste with high fiber (cabbage waste (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata)), high protein (catfish waste (Pangasius sp.)), high lipid characteristics ( avocado waste (Persea americana)) and balanced diet with a ratio of 2: 1: 1, 1: 2: 1, 1: 1: 2, and 1: 1: 1 and the feed rate is 100 mg / larva / day. The variables measured are larvae biomass, survival rate, WRI (Waste Reduction Index), AD (Approximate Digestibility), ECD (Efficiency of Conversion Digested-feed), and nutritional content of H. illucens larvae. The difference in each treatment was analyzed using One-way ANOVA followed by the Tuckey Post Hoc test (p <0.05). Larvae given a diet combination of 1: 2: 1 had a growth rate (2.97 ± 0.166) mg / larva / day, survival rate (64.75 ± 2.598)%, and the highest AD value (57.39 ± 3.389) with high nutritional content of fiber: protein: fat ie 1.51%: 50.79%: 20.14%. While the highest WRI index (2.27 ± 0.055) was found in the 2: 1: 1 diet combination and ECD value (79.99 ± 13.722) in 1: 1: 2 diet combination. Statistical analysis showed that combination feeding gave a significant difference in larval growth (p <0.05) of H. illucens. Diet combination of fiber: protein: fat generally influences the growth and nutritional content of H. Illucens larvae. In this study the growth and nutritional content of H. illucens larvae is best produced in feeding with a high protein ratio. text |
