INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/39697 JICT is a container terminal that is operated to serve the flow of international trade, both in terms of exports and imports. However, export services are rarely paid attention to and more often pay attention to import services. To find out the performance of export services, a gate-in performance setting is needed in order to maximize export services. The purpose of this thesis research is to examine the effect of gate-in on the performance of container export terminals and apply simulation models to the system. To meet these objectives, the indicators discussed are the total throughput and total time of containers in the export service. Scenario development is made by setting additional openings at the gate and seeing the number of external trucks that can be served at each gate. The results of this study indicate that by setting open and close to the gate, it can maximize throughput and total time of export services. text
