performance which was capable and competent for classy performance and met the standard of a
Musik performance hall. The project happened as a demand from West Java government (also known
as the client) and the dreams from many Musikians in West Java. Given its location at Jalan Pahlawan,
which is a main road in Bandung with an area of 4Ha, making this site easy to be accessed. Main users
of this building come from those who are connected with Musik, whether as a Musik player, composer,
fans, or those who are studying Musik. As a project that represented West Java Musik performance,
the project put more effort and concern to its acoustic and locality. Bamboos were chosen to represent
West Java and its traditional Musik.
Although this project fokused on planning and designing concert hall, small amount of attention was
given to the plan and design of the whole site with other buildings. The concept brought from the
concert hall to the site and other building in the site. So the concert hall, site, and other building would
come together as a unity which feature the concert hall. |
