Summary:Flood is natural process which often occurs in several district in Indonesia. Insufficient flood regulating infrastructure inflict worse flooding condition. This study is located on Karanganyar 1 River and Karanganyar 2 River, Semarang Regency, Central Java Province. The coastal flood is overcomed by constructing Sea Dikes. Polder system constructed to drain the discharge from Karanganyar River 1 and Karanganyar River 2. The water catchment in Karanganyar 1 River and Karanganyar 2 River has 3,1 km2 and 3 km2 area. Topography data, tidal survey, and 15 years of rainfall data in Kaliwungu Station and Mangkang Station was chosen as the input to the model to acquire planned design. The design is in the form of polder pond with the 30,2 ha area, water pump to the tune of 3 pieces with 5 m3/s capacity, Water gate to the tune of 4 pieces and the levee with the crest elevation in +2 m. The construction of this polder system resulting in decrease the flood water elevation so that the flood will not be occurred in Karanganyar River 1 and Karanganyar River 2.
