Information that can be obtained through station observation uses tide palm, but the results of this observation only apply to the surrounding area associated with the port, while the tidal characteristics in the Coastal area are different from the tidal characteristics of the high seas. An alternative method that can be done for measuring tides on the high seas is using Altimetry satellites. In this study a map of Indonesian tidal information was made consisting of co-tidal maps (amplitude and phase), tide and tide based on Altimetry satellite data, namely Topex, Jason-1, Jason-2, and Jason-3 from 1992 up to 2019. With the Altimetry satellite data obtained the Sea Surface Height (SSH) value so that with this data tidal component values can be obtained using the response method. With the value of the tidal component, it can be seen the tidal characteristics in the Indonesian region produced by the Indonesian tidal map that can be used as consideration in making decisions on marine activities. Based on the results of research conducted, the amplitude values in Indonesian ships vary greatly for each component of the tide. The highest amplitude value of the passive component (M2, S2, K1, O1) is M2 with an average of 28.94 cm. This amplitude value can represent the characteristics and type of tide, where there are four types of tides in Indonesia, namely semi diurnal around the Malacca Strait to the Andaman Sea, semi-diurnal dominant mixed tidal types available in most of southeastern Indonesia, diurnal dominant mixed tidal in the southern part of Java Island, and diurnal tide types are in the Karimata Strait which is between the islands of Borneo and Sumatra. While the highest tidal mounts in the Arafura Sea are 3-4 meters. Keywords: sea tide, Altimetry satellite, tidal component, response method text |
