The large number of academic community on campus that use these various facilities causing a high potential for waste generated in the ITB Ganesa environment. In addition, trees causing a huge amount of waste as well. Appropriate waste management is needed so the waste does not cause environmental pollution and disrupt teaching and learning activities. The management includes planning of location and volume capacity of the Temporary Waste Disposal Site (TPSS), coordinating waste transportation and waste management. These problem can be solved by using Geographic Information System (GIS) where a spatial database will be created in PostgreSQL to determine the potential waste generated with certain assumptions, the distribution of waste to the nearest TPSS based on the shortest distance and the waste transportation route using dijkstra algorithm. The result of this undergraduate thesis is the estimated value of potential waste, a map of waste distribution route and waste transportation route. |
