| Summary: | Semarang is one of the cities in Indonesia that has a culture through a tradition called Dugderan. Dugderan is the tradition of the people of Semarang City in order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. This tradition is a people's party which is characterized by the presence of a night market and carnival. Various arts were present and displayed in this event. One of the typical arts that is always found when Dugderan is Warak Ngendog. Unfortunately, many people in Semarang lack the understanding of the history and meaning of Warak Ngendog in the Dugderan tradition. Even though Dugderan and Warak Ngendog have deep meanings and philosophies and are a culture that must be preserved. Encyclopedia is an interesting medium to be used as an effort to introduce the Dugderan tradition to the wider community, especially for the people of Semarang. In the encyclopedia there are various kinds of information and reference sources about Dugderan so that people can get to know and understand more about Dugderan. In addition, the encyclopedia also provides illustrations that can certainly make the reading experience more exciting and fun.
