Summary:The Kuningan Apartment Building is designed as a solution to the land limitation problem due to the increasing of shelter demand in Jakarta, especially in the specified location, namely Kuningan which is a business and office center in Jakarta. Based on the architectural drawings, the apartment building will be design from the structural aspect. The scope of work includes determining the structure system and material specifications, defining earthquake loading and characteristics, preliminary design, structural modeling, structural requirements analysis, structural element design, and shop drawings. The design of this earthquake-proof reinforced-concrete building refers to SNI (National Standard of Indonesia) for Earthquakes, Minimum Loading, and Concrete Structure. Modeling is done with ETABS for structural analysis and internal forces, CSICol for axial-compression elements evaluation, Microsoft Excel for numerical calculations, and AutoCAD for shop drawings. This apartment building, which has 30 floors and 3 basements, is designed separately using two-stage analysis and dual structure system. The structure is designed with loading and load combinations based on SNI for Minimum Loading and SNI for Earthquakes. Structural analysis using ETABS must meet several requirements of the SNI for Earthquake to obtain adequate earthquake-proof building, with restrictions or consequences if the requirements are not met. The structure model that has fulfilled all the requirements and elements checking can be designed based on the internal forces for further detailing of the structural elements. The structural elements detailing refers to SNI for Concrete Strukcture with all of its requirements. The detailing requirements that have been fulfilled can be made into shop drawings.
