Summary:Childhood is a time when children develop motor skills, social skills, creativity and so on. but unfortunately according to a study presented by renowned psychologist Olivia Saputro, M.Psi in 2018 said that traditional games are now beginning to be forgotten and replaced by other games such as digital games. consequently the values and benefits of traditional games are not instilled in children. the causes are, among others, because children are not taught to play the traditional games of West Java. Therefore we need a media that can educate children about the kinds of traditional games and how to play them. The purpose of this study was to design two-dimensional animation media with traditional West Java game content for elementary students in grades 1-3. research uses qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, literature studies and comparisons of similar works. based on data, children now rarely play traditional games because no one teaches how to play traditional games. while the results of analysis of approaches through animation media are considered suitable for elementary students. to motivate children, two-dimensional animation designed with a funny Adventure theme.
