Summary: | The shopping center on Sudirman Street, Palembang has a structure consist of 5 upper floors with 2 basement. The objective of this final project is to design the foundation and the retaining wall of the shopping center structure.
The foundation type is bored pile foundation and is designed based on the bearing capacity and settlement requirements. The stages in designing the foundation are to interpret the soil data, determining the bearing capacity of single pile, designing and analyzing the group pile system, and designing the reinforcement of pile. The result of foundation design are 8 types of group pile configuration with 1 meter diameter of single pile, with varying number of pile and with varying depth. The analysis of foundation design will be assisted by LPILE, GROUP, and PCAColumn software.
The retaining wall type is diaphragm wall and is designed based on the safety factor and deflection requirements. The stages in designing the diaphragm wall are analyzing the diaphragm wall without support system, designing and analyzing the diaphragm wall with ground anchor, analyzing stability of the excavation, and designing the reinforcement of diaphragm wall. The result of retaining wall design is a diaphragm wall with a depth of 15 meters and 0.6 meters thick. The ground anchor is designed at an elevation of -5,5 meters with 17 meters of free length and 7 meters of fixed length. The analysis of diaphragm wall design will be assisted by PLAXIS 2D and PCAColumn software.
