In addition to injection techniques, reservoir characteristics also affect the effectiveness of CO2 gas injection. Some parameters play an important role such as reservoir permeability, porosity, fluid composition, and reservoir pressure. Therefore, technical sensitivity analysis is needed to find out more about these regulatory parameters for the cumulative oil production and economic evaluation to find favorable cases. The results of the simulation of reservoir parameter scenarios are used to construct the cumulative oil equation in R Field as a function of permeability, porosity, API, and reservoir pressure. The four parameters have a positive influence on the cumulative oil production. This study shows the minimal characteristics that are advantageous for injection of huff-n-puff CO2 gas are reservoirs with moderate porosity, moderate permeability, high reservoir pressure, and high API. In addition, the best reservoir criteria for injection of huff-n-puff CO2 gas are reservoirs with high porosity, high permeability, high API, and high reservoir pressure for base case with IOIP of 1 million bbl. The IOIP increase of 200% increased the net profit almost 5 times. On the other hand, a decrease of IOIP by 200% reduced the net profit 1.5 times. The optimum injection scenario is obtained when the injection rate of 1500 MSCFD was followed by 10 days injection duration and 11 days soaking duration. The best case in this study increased the cumulative oil production by 25.32 MSTB from the base case and obtained a net profit of almost US$ 880,000 from the initial base case which has a negative net profit. text
