Both have high antioxidant content which is beneficial for health. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of MOTIVE size on the productivity of propolis and honey produced by Tetragonula laeviceps. The study was carried out using various MOTIVE size particularly small (21 cm × 18 cm × 14 cm), medium (26 cm × 22 cm × 17 cm), and large (30 cm × 20 cm × 17 cm). Nylon was chosen as the material for the propolis frame in the MOTIVE. T. laeviceps was cultivated in the MOTIVE at the hallway of Labtek IV building, Institute Technology Bandung, Jatinangor for 2 months. Propolis was harvested every 2 weeks, while honey was harvested at the end of the cultivation period. The productivity of small, medium and large nests of propolis in nests were 1.24 ± 0.21, 1.51 ± 0.63, and 2.52 ± 0.37 g / colony / week, respectively. The productivity of honey in small, medium and large MOTIVE were 0.09; 0.09 ± 0.07; and 0.12 ± 0.12 g / colony / week. Propolis and honey were characterized to compare the quality of propolis produced in small, medium and large MOTIVE. Flavonoid level of propolis from small, medium and large MOTIVE were 2.47 ± 0.76-3.89 ± 1.7; 1.34 ± 0.76-2.57 ± 0.94; and 1.33 ± 0.85-2.21 ± 0.71 mg QE / g extract. Phenolic level of propolis from small, medium and large MOTIVE nests were 102.01 ± 43-122.25 ± 55.77; 35.61 ± 16.3-42.58 ± 17.1; and 64.77 ± 34.62-90.43 ± 34.02 mg GAE / g extract. The antioxidant activity of propolis obtained from MOTIVE nests was 247,649 ?g / mL. Antioxidant activity, reducing sugar, vitamin c, and water content of honey from T. laeviceps were 2613.411 ?g / mL, 72.84%, 195.88 ?g / mL and 21.86%. text
