Description
Summary:This study is done in a deltaic system with lenses shaped reservoir at Mahakam Delta. The only driving mechanism of lenses shaped reservoir is depletion drive because the reservoir has closed-loop system thus result low Recovery Factor and needed secondary recovery to increase recovery factor. The model used for simulation is a layer of oil reservoir and consists of one production well and two injection wells and constructed by CMG Simulator. The waterflood method is used to increase the recovery factor in this model. Sensitivity is performed five times each parameter to determine the optimum value for certain pressure, porosity, permeability, the maximum rate for production and injection wells, area, and dip. The optimum value of the parameter is determined from the highest recovery factor increase. The recovery factor increases from 18% to 33-61% after the waterflood is done. Time needed to reach 2600 psi from certain pressure is 4-314 days. The more affecting parameters are pressure, porosity, and dip and the less affecting parameters are permeability, area, and maximum rate of production well Prediction equation consist of six dependent parameter variables for the same reservoir characteristic with the Handil Field is constructed by using multivariate regression method.
