Scrutinizing an Evolutionary History Matching Process With Assisted Workflow In Mature Field

History matching is the process of calibrating geological and/or reservoir model to production data, aiming to a reasonable future forecast. The use of Assisted History Matching is preferred than the traditional one, for having a reliable optimization tools to better explore parameter space. It also...

The use of Assisted History Matching is preferred than the traditional one, for having a reliable optimization tools to better explore parameter space. It also allows to address complex parameter at the same time by using statistic and stochastic algorithm. The iteration will shorten length of study by speeding up the convergence to one or more solutions. The objective of this study is to understand the application of machine-assisted workflow, by also presenting a real case study of a mature field, in which its simulation model does not match the history data. This approach results in an improvement of matching process, shown by less total number of unmatched wells, compared to the base case. Consequently, a reliable and realistic model is used for reservoir future prediction using three different approaches text
