Mount Gede Pangrango National Park is one of the oldest National Park in Indonesia. It was established in 1980 and covering up to 24.270,80 Ha in area. There are 3 regencies included in this park area: Bogor, Sukabumi, and Cianjur. Its not only providing the best nature tourism, but also own a high degree of biodiversity with more than 1000 kinds of flora and fauna. It attracts tourist who wants to see the geographical features and looking for serenity. Due to extreme geography terrain of Mt. Gede Pangrango, not all visitors area able to explore the entire area and hike the mountain. Biodiversity Visitor Center was made to give the main essences of nature tourism and inform some important facts about Mount Gede Pangrango National Park without have to visit the entire park. The interior design concept applied in this facility is ‘Bio-expedition’. The concept is break down into space organization, form, colors, materials, furniture, lighting, acoustic, air circulation, safety, atmosphere, and spatial that give the experience of mountain hiking. The concept divide visitors experience into 3 parts: (1) Middle of the Forest; (2) Around the Mountain; (3) The Mountain Peak. Each part has it main function, which is to introduce, understand, and awareness. The design results are expected to increase people concern and awareness about Indonesia’s biodiversity.
