For this reason, a lunar crescent detection system which improves image quality during low lighting condition has been developed. This system is supported by a video streaming system to overcome the short moon phenomenon problem. The lunar crescent detection system was successfully developed by modifying the lunar crescent detection system Fakhar (2014), which added the image enhancement algorithm from the results of Sejzei's research (2015). This system has several main image processing processes, that is image enhancement, edge detection, and circular hough transform. The video streaming system was successfully developed using Youtube Live so it is automatically saved and can be seen again later. Based on visual testing on 6 test videos, the system managed to improve the quality of the lunar crescent image in all of the videos. The image of the lunar crescent which was initially invisible becomes easily visible after going through the image enhancement process that stretches the contrast on the image. text |
