With an average number of passengers around 60,397,972 people and 445,266 flights on year 2018, Soekarno Hatta International Airport will continue to develop in order to improve services and fulfill costumer needs. Regarding development of activities in Soekarno Hatta International Airport, it will certainly have an impact on the production of wastewater. Soekarno Hatta International Airport has an existing domestic wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that has been built since 1977. The quality of the wastewater effluent from the existing WWTP still meet the Environmental Ministry Regulation Number 68 Year 2016 quality standard, but the results from evaluation of Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) from each unit still above the criteria. This supported by lack of update and modifications to the existing WWTP at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a redesign for the existing WWTP. The planning carried out in two stages of service in the 2030 and 2040. Selection of the alternative technology are based on the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method by using some parameters such as efficiency, reliability, sludge disposal, land requirements, environmental impact, operational and maintenance cost, construction cost, sustainability and convenience level. There are three option of treatment technology consist of Complete Mix Activated Sludge (CMAS), Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR). Based on the SAW method with predetermined parameters, the second alternative using MBBR technology was chosen. text
